Renthof Kassel Hotel

The hotel has unique architectural charm that really caught my eye. The beautifully restored rooms blend historical elegance with modern touches. My suite was spacious, showcasing lovely vintage furnishings. The location near the river and park was serene and perfect. The experience was marred by noise from a wedding event. Even in a room away from the festivities, the bass thumping made it hard to get a good night's sleep. To top it off, the lack of air conditioning was uncomfortable, especially since my room was quite hot. I was also a bit disappointed to find no minibar or kettle in the room, which would have added to my comfort. Despite the beautiful decor and friendly staff, the noise and temperature control issues need serious attention.

Charming decor but noisy wedding disrupted sleep.

Fantastic stay, as always. Incredibly beautiful and charming accommodation with good setting very close to converted historical church, a converted monastery and a castle. Appetising food including croissants, slices of fresh bread, eggs, bangers, and bacon at the breakfast. Private parking onsite provided: D

Oh, let me tell you about my stay. The staff hardly looked like they were working, wearing their own clothes like they were guests themselves. Where was my complimentary coffee machine? Instead, just a kettle was provided. I expected some special treatment for paying a ridiculous price and ended up with bare minimum. Just couldn't recommend this place.

we appreciated this stay. the room was unique and extremely spacious here for a proper bathroom. the staff was super-friendly and nice, everything was brand-new. location: the hotel was really close to nice park and converted historical church. it was around 4-6 minutes walk from waikiki poke bowl, where you can have lunch.

Request a room fan in advance if staying during warmer months. It helped alleviate the discomfort of temperature and noise from outside.

The restaurant had amazing food and service, and we enjoyed some delicious cocktails in the comfortable bar area. We also loved exploring the nearby river and checking out the charming art exhibition held at the hotel. Pro tip.

We found the noise from a wedding party on Saturday night a bit disruptive. It made it hard to relax in our room after a busy day. Just a heads-up to check for events happening during your visit.

Misleading descriptions about the gallery room!!! Must work on sound insulation as noise from weddings ruined sleep quality!!! Leaky sink and stiff shower issues.

Family with children cozy experience

The staff was super friendly and helped us with all our questions which was a big plus for us. The breakfast was wonderful with a variety of locally made products that the kids loved.

It wasn't cheap but still acceptable considering the quality.

Enjoyed unwinding in the lovely outdoor terrace and checking out the cool art exhibit. The only downside was that the beds were a bit firmer than I'd like, but it didn't ruin my experience 😊
